No Open House on Stolen Land!
Palm Springs Friday, January 15, 1:15-1:45 PM
RE/MAX 333 North Palm Canyon Drive Palm Springs, CA
CODEPINK invites you to join the CODEPINK national team outside the Palm Springs RE/MAX office to ask their agents to say No to RE/MAX profiteering from illegal Israeli settlement expansion. We will ask RE/MAX agents and clients and those passing by, to contact RE/MAX CEO, Dave Liniger. He needs to set guidelines and policies for all RE/MAX brokers stating that they should not violate international law by selling, renting, or publicizing properties on illegally seized land in conflict zones.
Denver-based RE/MAX International is profiting from the sales that its franchisee RE/MAX Israel is making in illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank. While Palestinian homes and olive groves are bulldozed to make way for new settlements, RE/MAX Israel agents are doing business in all the major West Bank settlements and Occupied East Jerusalem in violation of international law. RE/MAX Israel’s actions and Re/Max LLC’s profiteering have drawn condemnation from human rights activists around the world, including in a report by the UN Rapporteur to the Occupied Territories, Richard Falk. Read section of Falk's report dealing with RE/MAX LLC.
